Group highlights

On 23 January, London Stock Exchange Group released its Interim Management Statement for the period to January 2013. Commenting on performance in the past quarter, Xavier Rolet, Chief Executive, said:

“This has been another good quarter. The Group has continued to benefit from a more diversified range of businesses with particularly strong performances from our Information Services and our Technology operations".

"We are also pleased with the progress made on our transaction with LCH.Clearnet, having secured competition clearances and agreed a provisional revised offer. We are now focused on obtaining shareholder approval and completing the transaction.”

Exchange highlights

London Stock Exchange, in partnership with Proskauer Rose LLP, is hosting a half-day conference on the future of investment funds.

Confirmed panellists from leading institutions and keynote speakers including specialists James Bevin and Oliver Tucker will address, inter alia, how to list a fund, how to structure a public fund, the outlook in the funds industry, regulatory changes and topic related to private equity.

Group highlights

On 31 January, FTSE Group, the award winning global index provider, announced the launch of the FTSE ORB Index Series, developed in conjunction with Investec Bank.

The indices are the first performance benchmarks for bonds trading on ORB – London Stock Exchange’s Order book for Retail Bonds. The indices offer investors and product issuers transparency, measurability and new access opportunities in UK retail bonds.
